Proper syntax for getting a user to click to advance

Hey, so I just started, but I've combed the documentation pretty thoroughly and I can't seem to find a way to have the user just click to advance. Not like as in clicking a link, but simply clicking the mouse anywhere to expose more link within a passage. Or clicking anywhere to advance to the next passage. Either of those would be good, but the first would be preferable.

Is this possible?

Never heard of that one. The <<replace>> macro isn't anything like that.

Just thinking out loud on my friend's computer so I don't have time to test this, but maybe an image link that takes up the whole passage behind the text would work. Like, a transparent or background-colored image so it can't be seen? Could be way off there.

Someone else may have code or better help.

I'd settle for just having a word that leads to more text within the same passage when clicked. Like what Jonah format does all the time, except only in certain passages. I found a page that used commands like <<continue>> to do it, but I can't get that command to work. Really I guess I just need to know how to get that or <<insert>> to work.

The <<continue>> macro sounds like what you need. Here's how to use it:

Here is some text
<<continue "click this link to make the rest appear">>
Some other text
<<continue>>Now click this other continue link<<endcontinue>>
The final part.


As you can see, you can either use <<continue "link name">> or <<continue>>link name<<endcontinue>>

Okay, I got that to work. I just didn't realize I had to have new code in there to make those commands work.

Now my question is this: Is there a way to clear the screen of text and start displaying from the top? As in, exactly what happens when you click to advance to the next passage, only without using a new passage?

Is there a reason you are trying to clear the page and display the next lump of text without using passage links?

I only ask because that is what passage links are for.
