Twine 2.1.0 — macOS (10.12.3) Twine running fans at significantly high speeds, high CPU usage

edited February 2017 in Help! with 2.0
Is anyone else noticing this? Since the update I've been finding that Twine seems to be hitting my system a lot harder than before and is revving up the fan the same way it would if I was playing a game. The previous version doesn't run it as hard and the fan barely ever kicks in.

Comments

  • Can you look at the OS's resource monitoring software (i'm not a MAC user) and if so does the CPU usage change depending on what you're doing in the Twine application? or is it consistently high once you start the application.
  • It's consistently high throughout using Twine. If I switch to another application and don't have Twine in the forefront for a while it will settle somewhat, but the moment I swap back to it then it's back to superhigh usage once again.
