[game] Stasis 7-118 -- Sci-Fi Interactive Graphic Novel

edited July 2014 in Workshop
Hey guys!

I wanted to share an 'interactive graphic novel' which I made with Monkeystack (animation / game dev studio based in Adelaide South Australia) for a project called Stasis. http://stasistheseries.com/

From their website -
Part of the Stasis Multiplatform Universe, 7-118 awakens the player from a stasis pod thirty years into the future at gunpoint.
The player must quickly choose whether to side with Larelle, a terrorist with a vendetta, or Verrian, a government agent claiming to protect you.  Journeying through each frame of the story,  the player will be forced to make a deadly choice: will they align themselves with Larelle, seeking brutal revenge, or will an offer of power from Verrians society tempt them to betray her?

The story is theirs, we did the animations, illustrations and built the game.
Many thanks to L on this one - especially for the glitch effect, which you can find here - http://twinery.org/forum/index.php/topic,1741.0.html

PLAY THE GAME - http://bit.ly/7-118 (larger download - please wait!)

I'd love any feedback you have - i'll pass it on to the producers too.

Cheers!

  • Havent found the time to play the whole way through but the 5 mins I did manage to get were impressive! Love the interface. Very, very nice aesthetically.
  • Thanks gamingarchaeo! We worked really hard on the visuals, so i'm glad to hear you like it!
  • Impressive.  Cool graphics.

Driving sequence seems a bit disjoint - could do with some more words.

    Highlighting off after How?

What's an IAA facility?  Why would I be able to recognize one?

Read the article, somehow got to the office (blank dialog on a section there), went up the stairs and what... story jumps all over the place. Needs more words and explanation.

  • The story and immersion are really good !

I'd just notice that the text box is small, and reading for a long time can lead to a little headache, but the game is nicely done anyway.
