Weird icon next to Sugarcube's External Links

Using Sugarcube in Twine 1, and I used an external link for the first time... The link seems to be marked with a little icon that I'd like to get rid of.

I'm sure there's some quick and easy way to do so: anyone know it?

    That icon is warning the Reader that that link leads to an external (and possible unknown) website.

    You can hide it by adding the following CSS to your story's stylesheet tagged passage, if your story does not have one yet you can use the Story > New > Stylesheet menu items to create one. 
    #passages a.link-external:after {
	content: normal;
}
