How to change the speed of the text

Question

I've been trying to learn how to change the speed at which the text of my entire story appears (it would be useful to learn how to just make some parts speed up or slow down too). I lookd up among the questions, and I didn't find what I was looking for, but I might have missed it, if so, I'm sorry.

I'm as new as you can get in this, but I really want to learn to make my stories as entertaining as posible. Thank you in advance.

This shows how to disable the fade in-out. I am unsure how to slow it down, however.
