I'm not sure how to put pictures on my twine story i'm using the harlowe version of twine Can anyone help?

I suggest you read the Add an Image, Movie, Sound Effect, or Music page of the Twine 2 Guide, in particular the Adding an Image section.

this is what the twine 2 guide said.But that's not to say that you can't use these things in your story! For now, you'll need to store them elsewhere – whether it's on a web site you control, or a service you use like Dropbox – and put references to them in your story. How do i do this?

You can also use local image files as long as these files are stored in the same folder (or in a sub-folder below the one) you saved the Story HTML file you created using the Publish to File option.

eg. Create a new folder on your local hard-drive, store the image files within this new folder, also save the HTML file create using Publish to File option into this new folder and you will see any image referenced using an img element like the following.

<img src="the-name-of-the-image-file-to-show">

If you prefer to host your images on-line then:

a. If your Story HTML file is hosted on the same web-site in the same located then the above img element will still work.

b. Otherwise you will need to change the img elements to reference the hosted image files like so:

<img src="http://the-domain-of-the-host-site/the-name-of-the-image-file">;
