I have a game's URL, but it won't load or play

Hi -- I found an interesting game in a Twitter screen capture. I can read the URL in the browser window, but when I copy it (accurately) into my browser, I get the Twine homepage. What gives?

It sounds like that's a link for the test play mode. Twine stories aren't stored online, so you won't be able to play the game without the file or unless the author hosts it somewhere.

whoever gave you the URL needs to press 'Publish To File' to get a HTML file, then put that HTML file on a website that hosts twine games, like philome.
