What caused my Twine story to "blow up"?

I'm not sure what happened - I was trying to zoom in on part of my story, and all of the sudden the passages started glitching up. I closed the Twine program and restarted, and what I see is this: link to screenshot

When i open up the story, it is blank. But I can play it and it will run as if everything is still there.

Luckily I was able to import my last exported file and recover everything but I was wondering if anyone knows what causes this bug?

 

EDIT: Apparently it has something to do with holding down the alt key with the mouse wheel. Staying clear of that from now on.
