How to set macro for timedcontinue in Twine 1.4.2 and Sugarcube 2??

I'm trying to write my first Twine in a week!
I can't believe how hard it is to find answers about how to do things, so I made this account
I can only find videos on Twine 2, but I've been using what was recommended to me, Twine 1.4.2 and Sugarcube 2.
My issue:
I'm trying to use <<timedcontinue>> but a macro isn't set?? Not only can I not find anything that explains how to set macros in Twine 1 but I also don't know what macro I should be setting. Judging from the forum threads I found on "timedcontinue", it should be as easy as typing <<timedcontinue 2.5s>>. I guess not.
As you might be able to tell... I'm pretty frustrated
