This compilation error comes up too often

(Talking about Sugarcane now.) When trying to build and test a story, it suddenly begins to throw up this message:

Sorry to interrupt, but this story's code has got itself in a mess.

macros.remember.init@file:///C:/Users/Juan/Desktop/333.html:68:1507
main@file:///C:/Users/Juan/Desktop/333.html:88:1733
Interface.init@file:///C:/Users/Juan/Desktop/333.html:95:2464

ou may be able to continue playing, but some parts may not work properly.

(What's with the "ou", anyway?) The numbers are different in every case, but the error for no obvious reason begins to happen even to stories that used to compile fine. Even to blank stories, with nothing except the Start passage in them.

There is a similar error, referencing a pyo-extension file in the first line. That one happens when the tws file and the built html file are in different directories. But here all files are in the same place. Any ideas? I can't test a thing right now.
