Twine 2 can't edit passage main text on iPad

I can type or edit a passage title or tags with no problems--arrow keys on external keyboard work, delete key works, etc. But the main text of the passage doesn't recognize either my external or on-screen keyboard in any normal way. After many tries, sometimes I can use the delete key and type text, but it's very unpredictable. The arrow keys on my external keyboard aren't recognized at all. I would REALLY love to be able to write and edit games on my iPad, but so far it's a non-starter. Am I missing something really simple here? I'm not a programmer but am reasonably technically competent.

As a "simple" question: Have you tried other third-party browsers (as opposed to Safari)?

I have tried Chrome and Mercury with the same results.
