Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Why are Twine 2's 'delete passage' and 'edit passage' buttons side-by-side?

Personally, I just can't work with the editor set up like this. I'm terrified of accidentally hitting the wrong button thanks to a slip of the mouse. How often do the devs update the UI? I think many people would appreciate the buttons being rearranged!

  • If you click the delete button, a confirmation message pops up, or if you want to get rid of a passage permanently, you can bypass that message by Shift+Click the icon.

I think they should swap the Edit and Test icons around. But I always double click the passages if I wanted to edit, so that's not a problem.
  • The icons can be a bit funky. Not the best positioning, but you just have to be extra careful in the mean time.
  • I suggest you create a new issue on the Twine 2 project website about this topic.
