Saving players choices

Hello,
I am totally new, I begin my first story, which will be very short (no more than four passages).

In the presence of "someone", the player will have to take on one of two possible attitudes.

I would like to know how to save players choices in order to have an online kind of "opinion poll" ?

Also would like to know how you can allow the player to write something (I would like to save online as well) ?

Thank you,
Rom.

  • I do know of certain macros such as (save-game:) and (prompt:) but I am not completely sure this is possible in Twine. However, you can probably use an external survey website, or possibly embed your own in the game. I may be wrong, however.
  • Have a look at SurveyMonkey and see if that will meet your needs.

If not, you'll need a server to save the information to. Twine runs on each users own machine, so to save it you have to export it to a central location. You need your own server - try something like Bluemix to develop and host it. (Disclaimer - I work for IBM.)
