How to edit twine text without having to open each paragraph?

Is there a way to see and edit all the text in the twine without going into each 'box' and edit it?
I've tried the proofreading - but it seems like that just give you all the text but no option to edit it.
I am at my wits end here.

I don't believe the Twine 2 application has a feature like what you want.

The TheMadExile created a utility named TweeGo which can be used to create a story HTML file from a plain text file containing Passages.

With Twine 1.4.2 you can export to Twee format, edit that and then reimport (as long as you haven't stuffed up the formatting - but it's a pretty simple format). Note that the export goes across and down, so if you've laid your story out down and across it's going to be pretty mixed up in the export.
