Trying to use Twine online in Chrome - only get a blank page

As I say above. When I click "use it online" on the main Twine page it just navigates to a blank page. The page itself isn't trying to load. Have tried clearing my cache and restarting Chrome, but no joy. I've never had this issue before.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any known solutions?

  • I just tried accessing the hosted release of Twine 2 using that link and Chrome, and it worked correctly. Try again, there may of been a problem with the site.

note: If you cleared your web-browser cache then you may of lost all your story projects, if so then I hope you have been using the Archive option to backup your work.

Clearing the cache should only clear what it says: the cache. If saved data was cleared, something was done wrong.

It depends on what other options are also checked when the cache is cleared, which is why I used the word may in my previous post.

In my experience many people don't know/understand about the different options so they just check they all (if they are not already checked by default)
  • Same problem here suddenly. I was working the whole morning on http://twinery.org/2/, now it doesn't load anymore. http://twinery.org is loading just fine. Also doesn't work in other browsers. No idea why.
  • Yes, same problem here as DatWeirdFriend. Was working fine yesterday and now the online version loads a blank white page. I've got a whole class of students with this problem. Yikes!
  • Are there any messages in the developer console? On Chrome, you can open this by pressing the F12 key.
  • Everything seems to be working again. No errors on the dev console.
