How to remove line breaks from Twine if I wrote a chunk of code?

Hello everyone,
I am new in using Twine and I am creating a dating simulation game using it. I have huge amount of if conditions in the beginning of each passage. Doing that cause Twine to leave a huge white space at the top of the passage when it start. Is there a way to remove that without writing the whole if conditions on one line? I am using Harlowe.

Reading the manual/documentation for the story format you are using can help you learn how to do things.

Yeah, a lot of \'s does the trick as well in Sugarcube (from the Line Continuation bit) I couldn't figure out how to use the <<nobr>> very well, and it kept throwing errors where the \'s don't.
