Twine 2.2.1., Harlowe 2.1.0.

What I mean by this is: how do I make one link, when clicked disappear, but the other shows what it needs to? I'd like if I can use (display:) for this, but if I can't, I'm fine with that too.

Can you be more specific about what you want to do?

Most simply, you can create two different passages containing information that would be linked from either choice. That way you do not have to do a display command. You could apply a conditional to both links if you need to return to that passage so that the other link would not be displayed.

Also, if I understand correctly, what you are looking to do may have been covered in this Q&A
