Is there a way to use whitespace as a link?

What I want is something like this:

[[   ->Passage 1]]

But this doesn't work, of course. Is there a way to do this without using white-coloured text?

You can do the following to create a link that has three non-break whitespace characters as the link text

<<link "&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;" "Next Passage">><</link>>
