- Kung Fu Space Barbarian released the 20th episode in the Crypt Shyfter fantasy RPG series, which has been featured on the front page of Newgrounds several times and won more than 15 awards.
- George Murray released Megafauna, a game about a road trip that turns weird.
- Ethan J. Murray released to build a fire, a short game billed as “about two siblings, magic, and feeling alone.”
- Chapbook 0.1.0, a new story format, has been released. As the version number indicates, it’s still in prerelease state.
Events
- IFComp 2018 has results posted (this year, the results were announced live on Twitch; a recording has been posted). There are a lot of Twine games at the top! Congratulations to all who entered.
- Narrascope, a new IF-focused event that will take place in Boston, MA from June 14-16, 2019, is accepting session submissions. The deadline to submit is January 18, 2019.
Opportunities
- The V&A Dundee, a design museum in Scotland, is seeking to commission a digital game that explores character development and the idea of self in games. They’re specifically open to games created in alternate game engines like Twine. Learn more and apply on their web site.
